My new Kia Picanto, that is still under warranty, completely cut-out on the highway. The car was towed in to Kia Centurion, where they refused to start working on the car because the service book was not in the vehicle.
It appears to me that the quality of their technology is not of the standard which permits them to contact Kia Menlyn to confirm that my vehicle had its 15 000km service.
After a few days, I was able to send the service book to them, where they told my driver that it would take three weeks to do the repairs on the car because they do not have stock of the starter unit. I am astonished that they need three weeks to obtain basic parts and spares.
For the first time in my life I purchased a new car, precisely to avoid such problems from occurring. On the contrary, I am sitting highly frustrated and without a car...
DO NOT BUY A KIA!!!
