I booked my Toyota Verso's 60000km service with Toyota, after a few hours i got a call from the service department, to inform me that my brake pads on my verso needs to be replaced as the current ones are worn out. The friendly lady told me that The front brakes will cost R1900-00 plus the back will cost me R1500-00 and alltogether it will be R3400-00. I replied by telling her i do not have the money at present and that they must not replace them.
Two weeks later i asked my brother to please check for me how far i can still drive the car as i am worried about my brakes, he kindly checked my brakes and discovered that i have 80% brakes left, in the front and the back and i can still drive the car for a long distance, without replacing the brakes.
Then i phoned Toyota and they asked me to come in to check the car, I went this morning and this is want they told me; "You have 15, 000km left on you brake pads in the front and back, and they will not last until your next service." (which will be in 15, 000km?) I was told that the brakes was worn out and needed to be replaced, they did not tell me i still have 15, 000km left! I find this totally unacceptable!
