I replaced my brake pads in January, and took my car in for a service in March - (60000km service). Stated my wheel squeeked a bit on the left tyre, but only when I did over 80km/hr.
They called me during the day and said I needed my brakes replaced, I said no, I had only just replaced them. They did the service, everything was fine, except for the front left tyre squeeking - worse than before I brought it in. I removed my tyre, and looked at the brakes as I thought this could be dirt. There was no "padding" at all, and the metal was already grounded all the way down on my wheel. It was also red, and very badly rusted. I thought this was not possible at all, and proceeded to check the other wheel. I had only just replaced them after all. I checked the tyre on the right, the brakes were still new, less than halfway down and still had black paint and the words "FERODO" etched in white. I compared these with the left tyre. THEY SWITCHED MY BRAKES OUT!!! Was this to be nasty or to prove a point to make me change the brakes and squeeze more money out of me? Who will now fix the damage they have done by doing this on my vehicle? The metal was and is grounded down where the pads are!
