Gary's Workshop
Fake parts used instead of gunuine as promised

I took my car for service on 19/12/12 as it was due for brakes service. When making an appointement I asked the receptionist if they use genuine parts for servicing & she said yes. After the car was serviced it still showed that brakes needed to be replaced. I took the car back the next day and was told that only front brakes were replaced and I needed to fix the rear brakes as well. I decided to take the car to BMW on 16/01/13 and I was informed that the replaced front brakes were not BMW approved parts as claimed by the workshop and they had to replace the front and rare brakes with genuine brakes as the sensor was unable to read the brakes as they were not genuine. I had to pay for new front and rear brakes. I called the workshop and explained to them and the guy insisted that he used the genuine parts and there's nothing he can do as I was supposed to have come back to him regarding the sensor. I told him that is not what he told me when i took back the car on the 20th as he only mentioned that rear brakes needed to be replaced. I think I was misinformed and consequently ended up paying for front brakes in December and January. I think the workshop need to refund me.
