SERVICE CONTRACT

Phoned to book in my Honda Jazz for a service..was not sure when it was due and vehicle had done 20 000km. The chap at service reception told me that it was due at 15 000km. I said why is there no sticker in the car or on the car's "computer"..as I didnt know when the service was due!! He said it was up to me to read my service book... I told him that I read the book and there is not one service record that has been stamped!!! He said that they do the first service at 15 000km and i shouldve bought the vehicle in then. I said that there should have been a sticker advising me of this!

Long story short, they have to write to Honda SA and get permission to service the vehicle which he doubts they will give as it is now overdue. I said that I will not pay for this service as they did not advise me in the way of a sticker or a phone call or anything which is common practise in nearly every other Dealership. He said that he cannot get confirmation from Honda SA if they will cover the service until the car is in the workshop. I said that I will bring the car in but I will not pay for the service so he must make sure they will cover it... if not I will take this matter further.
