I own a 2008 Honda Civic Vxi Hatch which has given me 5 years of enjoyable motoring. Problem though is that for the last 40 000km's I've had an on/off squeak that has now become an embarrassing everyday feature of my daily commuting. I first reported the matter during my 60 000km's service at Honda Northcliff, they noted this on my invoice and the matter seemed to have disappeared but reappeared a few months thereafter. I then took my car into Honda Edenvale prior to their closure and merger with Honda Bedfordview, reported the same issue, again it disappeared for a month or so and reappeared (not noted on the invoice this time) and the same was repeated during the car's 90000km's service at Honda Bedfordview. It's also worth noting that this dealership didn't even bother signing my service book until after I'd raised the matter with them. The squeaking is worse that ever and my car is out of service plan... perhaps that was the plan all along by Honda. I've thoroughly enjoyed my ownership of this car, but their failure to solve an issue that I've raised consistently over time has left a poor taste in my mouth.
