After calling Budget rent a car and speaking to Emma at their offices in Randburg the day before I took the rented car, I specifically mentioned and requested a certain car that fell under my category, she promised and agreed to ensure that will be done. To my shock & horror after signing the documents I am given a car which is completely impractical. What makes it worse is that the guy who was helping me never bothered to ask or disclose which cars I had an option to on my category and just got me signing, tantamount to - I was of the view when signing that the guy assisting me got the details of my requests from Emma, to find nothing! I was shocked and wondered how this could be, he never read out any of my options - but was only interested in making me sign clauses of agreements that bind me. There were plenty of cars in their yard of various makes and designs, I asked the security guard checking me out & inspecting car which of these cars have been booked and he pointed me to a fleet which weren't! This is highly unacceptible, for two people to treat me like this, is. The NCA & CPA legislation are clear on consumer rights as far as disclosure is concerned.
