I ordered an expensive new camera on [URL Removed] who use Berco for their deliveries.
I had several missed calls in the morning and when I phoned back the number I got the courier who explained that he had just passed my area. I explained to him where I lived and he said that he would be deliver my package at 4 - 5 pm.
At about 4 I got a call from the manager at the Spar supermarket about 40kms from my house explaining that he had a delivery for me and that I must come to the shop. I was trying to figure out what I had ordered from Spar when he said that there was a delivery guy with something for me. Very strange. So I asked if I could please to speak to the delivery guy. He was quite rude and disinterested in what I had to say. He said didn't someone from Berco phone me? No I said. He said that he had been told to drop the package off at the Spar! So I use a lot of couriers and never have I heard such that a package be delivered to a complete stranger at a supermarket. The person who signed for it was not the person who the delivery was meant for. The camera is worth over R6 000 and could have EASILY landed up in someone else's hands.
