Even though it happened a while ago, it still bothers me to think of how many other people they do this too.
While hiring a car from Europecar in Cape Town, someone pulled out from behind a stationary taxi and bumped the side of my car, just damaging the rim, I took the persons information, took photographs of my car, his car and the driver himself, I also went straight to the police station to report the incident.
When arriving home R8000 was deducted from my account by Europecar, I gave Europecar a written account of what happened, when I dropped off the car, offering all the information including the pictures I took, which they chose not to want.
After many attempts to have this incident sorted out, I am told it " this claim in uneconomical to pursue", uneconomical to who, defiantly not Europecar.
Europecar, they say they worked through a Prokureur/Attorney, but when I contacted the Attorney they knew nothing about the incident and said they no longer deal with Europecar, I wonder why.
