On behalf of my 60 yr old mother, who wishes to remain anonymous:
Barloworld Centurion has provided her with perhaps the worst and most incompetent service I have ever come across. I would have written a complaint sooner but she explicitly asked me not to. However, the dismal service has persisted and so I cannot let it stand any more.
Her car has been in about 4/5 times in the last 3 months of this year. The car is currently with them, now for about 1 week, initially to find an oil leak. This leak was impossible for a team of trained mechanics to find, after several trips to the dealership and after several weeks of her not having her car. Then, on a sunny afternoon, a family friend finds it in a matter of minutes.
To make matters worse, the mechanics not only missed the leak but they missed that the gasket was stuffed - 2 years after Barloworld Centurion replaced it. Now it needs skimming and a whole bunch more work but somehow they missed it.
Moreover, their customer service has been on par with their shocking physical service of the car. This is also not new: It took them about 6 months to replace a side mirror they broke the last time the car was in for a service. SHOCKING
