Empty promises &
44010 km- renewed crank sprocket & plate
27/09/2011 -replaced crank pulley and keyway
11/04/2013 - 18 mnths later same thing, & Midrand have quoted:
R8000.00 -drop engine
R54000.00 -replace crank pulley that has once again come loose.
Again in 18 mnths?? It is bad workmanship &Kia Midrand is accountable. 11/04 to date & no solution. Pushed from pillar to post between Kia Midrand and Kia South Africa plus the cost of car hire.
Juan Kia Midrand's Service Manager agreed this should not have happened again in 18 mnths & said he would take it up with Derrick, the Dealer Principal. No feedback until 30/04 The vehicle, out of warranty & we had to pay Contact was then made with Derrick who agreed and promised to present our case to Kia SA.Many calls with no response. They reported back that Kia SA declined. We went direct to Kia SA Many messages left for Sharoma the Cust. Care Manager., not returned. 14/05 sent an email insisting she call. She responded. 16/05, confirms neither Serv. Man, or Dealer Principle from Midrand had called her . feedback 15/05 still no word!
Should one have three major interventions with a KIA Sorrento motor in a space of 145 000km?
