In early February I made an on line car rental booking with Woodford for a car from Durban Airport. I accepted their quote and was immediately charged R4200.90 on my credit card. 3 weeks prior to departure I needed to amend the requested dates by one day each way due to availability of flights and separate departures for my husband and myself. I never got a response. I sent another email marked "urgent" to which the reply was that my email had been forwarded to the relevant department. That was it, no confirmation, nothing. On arrival in Durban we were processed by a helpful assistant at Woodfords and I pointed out to him that I was owed money due to using the car for 2 days less than anticipated as per my email - the Invoice I was given noted Refund received- really? Where and when? I duly made a note on their copy. As it happens we did need the car for an extra day and in that sense Woodford were very accommodating. Since our return to Cape Town on the 7th April, I have again requested copies of an updated Invoice plus proof of refund but to this day have had no reply!! I was then sent a general email to rate their performance on Hello Peter! So here its is. A big Thumbs down!
