I hired Joburg Movers to help me move my furniture into my new flat.
To start off, they promised to be at my house to collect my furniture by 9am, as I had to be out of the unit by 12.
The movers arrived at 13h00, and to top it all off, in my new flat, my parquet floors are scratched and damaged, and my doors are scratched with holes in them because the movers were kicking my couch to get it through the doorway. I then mailed Liz Beeby, requesting that they repair the damage or refund a certain amount of the monies paid over to them.
She informed me that she had passed the email on to her management and would get back to me regarding the outcome. This was over 2 months ago, and have still not even had the courtesy of an email stating that they refuse to pay.
I have emailed them several times to no avail.
Now I'm the one who has to pay R1400 to repair my doors and floors.
I have never been more disappointed in a service provider before, and am mortified that a company like this is still in operation!!!
