Hired Alpha Movers twice recently. The first time great. Second time an absolute disaster. I managed to resolve all the issues including injuries on duty, throwing boxes against a wall without any care and failing to put furniture together which was part of their spec. I am left with one gripe. Alpha Movers damaged my Landlord's Property. As soon as it happened I did everything to mitigate their risk. I called Marcus, took pictures and sent it to him, I gave him the Landlord's contact details. I was assured everything was under control. I am now sitting with a bill from my Landlord of R1100 which Alpha Movers refuses to pay. Apparently, by the time Alpha Movers' insurance company attended to inspect the damage it was repaired. I have repeatedly asked why this cannot be paid by Alpha Movers since they represent: "We supply GIT (insurance) absolutely free". I don't see why I should foot the bill when I hired them because they are purportedly insured? I have begged them to take this up with their insurance as they can foot the bill, and they are hesitant to do so. I am left paying the bill as I do not want to be black listed by my Landlord.
