A & B Movers picked up my furniture in Johannesburg and transported it to Cape Town. When my stuff arrived in Cape Town it had been so badly damaged that it will cost me thousands to have it fixed or replaced.
Wooden artifacts had been broken into pieces, my new fridge has massive scratches and dents on. TV appliciances, that was specially wrapped by A & B Movers themselves had switches that was broken off.
A brand new bookcase from Weylandts was delivered in two pieces.
This is only the beginning of it all. They took a month to respond to my complaints and finally responded saying that "We understand that moving is very stressful for someone and is as stressful for your furniture as furniture is not made to be moved." How can someone at a removal company even consider that an appropriate response?
They are refusing to pay for any damages and say that they "would like to get the suede couch cleaned on A & B Movers account." This is in fact a suede futton that was RUINED by box-sealing tape and cannot simply be cleaned.
I cannot believe that a company and be so unprofessional and have so little sense of responsibility and pride. Disgusted, to say the least.
