Saturday night at Reubens Franschoek, what a terrible experience, badly seated table, half a dozen oysters ordered, 5 received, no bread, black pepper or Tabasco, Oysters warm on warm white rocks! Caesar salad, drowned in mayonnaise. Request for waiting time between courses ignored, main served directly after starters, Wing rib tasteless. served off the bone and not as requested "on the bone", cold, and slightly "off" - five spiced, honey glazed duck breast - yeah right - revolting, hard, tasteless, not edible.
We walked out and went to Le Quartier Francais across the road (where we had been to the tasting room on Thursday) - best dining experience ever!! We went to the common room and had a fantastic dining experience once again
Reuben you need to get your act together, focus on one thing, otherwise you will end up like Ramsay, big headed, disliked, lose you credibility and become something of the past!!
