When we walked into the restarant it was near empty but took about 5 minutes for someone to seat us. After choosing drink orders (which we never received all items asked for) we chose our starters and then mains in one go. The second glimpse of bad service was when the mains arrived halfway during our starters. I had ordered Calamari Peri Peri which was served with a napoli like stew sauce, the next meal was a prawn curry which was as close to plain oil mixed with some chillies and had minimal prawns, lastly was a salad - specifically ordered with olives, tomatoes, cucumber, feta, green peppers and feta only. The salad was served with about 2 olives, yellow peppers, red peppers, carrots and onions (none of which was asked for). Only about a quarter of all three meals were eaten as the food was so disgusting. I have never complained about a meal but this place I WILL NEVER EAT AT AGAIN. I paid for the meal, left a 8% tip and left as I will never visit there again and have told various friends to not go there either as my experience there was plain down terrible. Worst food experience at Gateway.
