Today was the THIRD time I ordered the Beef Burger (from the lunch menu) and it arrived without the SAUCE!!! The SAUCE is the MAIN REASON why I love to... correction... USED to love going to this restaurant. Maybe it's just me, but it seems that as soon Waterfront Restaurant staff hear that you are local, and not some heavy wallet foreigner, their service quality drop with 150%!!! Then they ask why South Africans don't tip well?? Well think about it?? Probably because you want a tip but can't even remember THE SAUCE!!!
The first time I was off at Karibu was waiting 10 minutes, after the plate was set in front of me, for my sauce to arrive. I had to ask the waiter to bring it! (okay, so this may be a humane mistake, but the restaurant wasn't even busy. there were FIVE tables with customers)
The second time was when I, again waiting for my sauce to arrive, asked for a steak knife. The waiter returned with a steak knife with food still stuck on it from a previous meal!!! Three words came to my mind: WHAT THE!!!???
And the THIRD time was today. Ordered a beef burger for take away, and it gets here WITHOUT THE SAUCE!!!
I will never eat at the Waterfront again!!!
