My fiance and I went to eat at Maxi's in Cape Gate last night. We ordered the same meal, a Maximelt rump (steak with cheese and mushrooms) with extra cheese sauce.
The waitress got our order wrong and put two plates with steak and chips in front of us and said she was going to bring the toppings now... now later became 10 minutes and our food was getting cold.
I then stood up and asked to speak to the manageress. She informed me that she will sort it out in a minute.
Another 10 minutes later the waitress brought us our toppings... when I asked her "What about the cheese sauce? ", she forgot that AGAIN! After another 10 minutes she brought our cheese sauce. Our food was ice cold after 30 minutes of waiting for toppings and a sauce.
If the restaurant was extremely busy I would have understood, but there was only 3 tables!
The manageress did also not even have the decency to come to us personally and apologise for this poor service.
This was our first visit to Maxi's and unfortunately definately the last.
