Hi to whoever this may concern,
Yesterday (28.07.2013) my family and I decided to go to Mitchell's at the V&A Waterfront for lunch, we decided that the steak was a good idea, the waitress asked us if we would like mayo or "PREGO" sauce and opted for the "PREGO". Well I can tell you that, that was not a "PREGO" sauce, that was the most spicey sauce I have ever had! The Peri Peri condoment that comes along with salt and pepper was milder than the "PREGO" sauce, it ruined the food, it was unbearably hot hence it being unedible. When we spoke to the waitress about it, her response was, "well we serve the sauce on the side so you can taste it before throwing it over the food". My thinking is who the does that. When you order a steak with mushroom sauce are you expected to taste it first to make sure that it's mushroom sauce, because I don't, I expect what I have ordered to be what I recieve and I have never had a "PREGO" steak that tasted like chilli sauce! There was no sympathy from the waitress, she had a attitude and made out as if it was our fault, no compensation was offered, not even a glass of milk..so in plain words, FOOD, SERVICE! I want an apology!
