Yesterday was my 9th Wedding Anniversary. We Purchashed the night out for 2 from Suncoast the previous week and decide to use that last night. we went to Cape town Fish Market. They were not at all busy, we ordered the Kalk Bay platter which is 1 of the options on the voucher. it took them 1h15mins to bring the food after my husband and i asking many times.eventually when the waiter did bring the food the prawns had not been fully cooked the calamari was still raw and the fish was like rubber, we tried again to get the attention of a waiter. at 21.30 we were already very tired, there was another couple sitting opposite us, they had called to complain that the were there for 20mins and no1 served them. in my personal opinion there were more waitors than customers. it was supposed to have been a 2 course meal, the waitress didnt even bother to ask about the dessert just left the bill and walked off.
it was a good day and i was so disheartened at the fact that a romantic dinner turned out to be more of a mission to find a waiter and get disguisting food.
i love eating there and this is the first time i have experienced service like this.
