At a brunch with family this morning, i ordered a smoked chicken roll and an iced tea. The first bite was a shock as i bit down on some or other rock hard piece of plastic. I asked a waiter what it could be and the told me that it must be a piece of salt! It most certainly was NOT salt! The manager then went to the kitchen to find out what it could be, and returned with actual salt crystals in a serviette and claimed that that was what i had given to her!
I the just proceded to drink my iced tea, which i put some in a take away cup for my little boy, and noticed black algae-like pieces floating around the glass!! She then explained that it must be off, and gave us our drinks on the house. I feel though that the damage was done, alge in tea and plastic in food is disgusting!
