This morning at 07h40, before going to work I decided to stop and buy myself and girlfriend breakfast from our near by KFC (Umhlanga Durban) as we were running late. We had went through the drive through and ordered a toasted cheese and tomato sandwich for us both along with cappacinos.
We did not open the take-away bag immediately to check the order as we were in a rush as well as established a sense of trust with the KFC brand that we grew up with. When we did however open the bag and removed our sandwiches, we noticed a few things i.e. the bread was soft and not fully toasted, the cheese was not melted, and the tomato was of poor quality. With this being the quality and us having to rush to work, we did not and could not eat this therefore gave it away to a beggar on the street. So much for an satisfying breakfast from KFC.
My girlfriend works in a mall thus i had told her to go to the McDonalds and purchase a breakfast from them and as for me, i have to wait till lunc time to have my first meal of the day.
This was very disheartening and disapointing as whats the point if having good customer service yet selling of poor unedible food...
