I was at the Waterfront branch for the very first time. We usually go to Stellenbosch. Our waiter guided us to the upstairs seating area. There was a live band which was playing so loud we decided to sit outside so we could hear each other speak. Our table was situated right by the sliding door which seperated the outside area from the inside dining area. We ordered, received our food and started eating. We were 5min into our meal when a huge cockroach ran over our table, food and scurried up the wall that our table was against. The waiter who heard me screaming, just moved our food to the opposite table and expected us to continue like nothing happened. I was so shocked and completely lost my appetite. We requested for the Manager becoz at this stage I wanted to leave and wasnt prepared to pay. The manager came, apologised and advised that we dnt have the pay for our bill. I offered to pay for my drinks which was still on the table, hardly touched. She could see the cockroach still perched against the wall. A few minutes later she returned advising that she can only give a 50% discount on the 1 meal as we were sitiing outside. This was R65 less on my bill. How shocking is this.
