I made a booking for 11 people at Hudson's Vredenheim on Monday for today (Saturday). When we arrived they had no record of the booking. It took 1 hour and 25 minutes for our food to arrive. Shocking! Our son is autistic and waiting for a long period with him is extremely stressful. Even in this beautiful environment such a wait becomes exhausting for everyone. When my food arrived I did not receive a fork. I went to the manager and told her and also complained about the long wait for food. She offered no apology. The food was not worth the expense. My brother ordered a pie that cost R95. It had only three pieces of meat in it! My salad was tiny and I paid R77 for a sandwich. At that price you would expect something exceptional. The children had lunch boxes. The only thing that had to be made in the lunch box was the hotdog. How is it possible to take an hour and a half to make two hotdogs? Although the waitress was friendly, she did not tell us the food would take so long and she did not come to enquire whether we were satisfied. I will never return to this restaurant. The price is not worth the food and the wait is interminable. Shoddy shoddy shoddy.
