On New Years our family decided to take us to Franschoek to explore this town which he had always heard of. it was myself and my husband's first time there and we were sooo excited. As we were walking down the main road, we saw sooo many places to eat and didn't know where to go. We bumped into a waitress from Essence who explained which restaurant would be the best depending on what type of food we were looking for. We then decided on Essence as the waitress spoke so highly of the establishment where she worked. i did mention that she could be biased, but we took a chance nevertheless. We waited over an hour for our food. People who had arrived after us received their food before us. My nephew spilled coke on his dad so we decided to have our food as a take-away after this LONG wait. When we received our food to leave, the waitress told us that they did not any plastic cutlery. We just took our food and hoped that the food would at least be worth the wait. We ordered a burger, pasta with livers, fish and chips and
a 'pita' . When we did eat our food with our hands, all of our food was TASTELESS!! disappointed!!! what a waste of money and what a way to make a 1st impression
