Kaprinos Northgate Island - BAD SERVICE

I have just with my staff (party of 11) come from the Kaprinos in Northgate. Upon arrival I was asked if the bill will be paid by 1 person and I said yes, myself. I was then asked as i was walking in, to pay upfront .....?? Is this normal practise? Surely not. Who asks customers to pay before they have even sat down let alone had something to eat. I was also told that I must pay in cash as the card machine is faulty. This needed to be sorted out, why should the customer be inconvenienced? Then after making a plan to get the cash, I asked for a receipt as I need this for tax purposes, it was insisted that it was given to me and it was NOT. Eventually my husband managed to get the very unhelpful hostess to duplicate a receipt. She refused to give me any details to whom I could raise my concerns with. She was abrupt, looked at me an acceptable manner and gave me a Kaprinos card and said I MUST speak to Chris the manager. He then told me that i can send any concerns to the booking email address which i found to be very odd. My bill was R2000, and to receive such disgraceful service, i will not be making my way back. Very disappointed
