I was shocked at the overall service/treatment received from this well known reputable establishment. I have frequented numerous Cattle Barrons always satisfied and impressed at times which is the least a patron should expect from these high end restaurants.
We were a company of 11 people.
It started with a long wait for food. We did not complain! 2 Individuals complained about the food itself and felt that the complaint was not dealt with and that simple comments were given in response instead of satisfying or even attempting to satisfy the relevant patrons.
The cherry on top came when the desert menus were dealt out without enquiring whether we would be ordering desert! The waitor did not respond well to us not wanting desert. On top of this we informed the waitor that we had 2 birthday celebrations and requested a sparkle in ice cream for each as we had seen another table received earlier. We got the impression that these were not freebies and said we would pay for it. A bill of R 17.00 each was added for this! I was appalled and approached the owner who was not helpful at all!
Lesser establishments give these as a courtesy! I just paid and left.
