Burnt food wrong order = Arrogant manage

My husband and I decided to have a quick lunch at Wimpy as it was our anniversary and seeing that we were at work, this would be the best we could do together to celebrate. He ordered the chicken schnitzel with the mushroom sauce and i ordered an ocean combo.
We got a burnt chicken schnitzel and a hake chips and salad (wrong order).
My husband complained that the schnitzel was in edible and the mushroom sauce was off.
I tasted to give him a 2nd opinion and agreed. We reported this to the waiter and he took the food back to the kitchen and the manager. The manager approahed us by saying that there is nothing wrong with the food and this is how it is usually prepared. it didnt look or taste anything like what ive eaten at any other wimpy and it looked nothing compared to the menu illustration. she then said that i must pay for half the meal which refused.
The food is hazardas as we both feel upset in our tummies.
We left still relatively hungry.
i am totally disguted that this brach is ruing the reputation of wimpy everywhere.
