On Saturday 14th of Dec, myself and friends had booked big table for a friend's birthday dinner. We chose El burro as the food is good with great waiters and a nice atmosphere. We booked for 19:30 and arrived on time. Unfortunately some of our guests were a few hours late, we allowed the manager to remove two tables as we were not utilizing them and we thought it was only fair that he do so. Unfortunately he then decided to order us to squash together on a bench, so as to remove more, stating that there was a waiting list for tables. The was no queue at the door or any customers waiting, with at least 3 empty tables, and a table of two having dinner at a table of 6.
Eventually after having said we do not need to move as the guests will arrive, the Manager named Josh, decided to use the restaurants nightly targets as a ploy to make us squeeze together. As paying customers, the targets of an establishment does not involve us, and should not even be mentioned. As for the manager saying "We should call the owner ourselves on Monday and sort it out with him" - Extremely unprofessional.
He was extremely unprofessional and rude.
