Banana Jam stocks a wide range of craft beers. We went there to have 1 beer on our way to eat. As usual there were many empty tables with reserved signs and the few bar stools were occupied. So we stood at the bar with our beers. We saw a table going free outside and snapped it up. A waitress came and asked if we wanted to just sit and have our beers - said that was cool (they have a sign about only ordering from waiters if you are at a table - fair enough). Another waitress said the table was reserved but we could sit for 10 minutes. Then a waiter came and said could we move as it was reserved - all in the space of about 5 mins. So we got a bit huffy, said if it was reserved, why wasn't there a reserved sign? He offered to find us some bar stools so we picked up our beers and went inside, saying with some force to the woman at the front desk that a reserved table should have a sign on it. So she said there was a reserved sign (accusing us of lying) and told me not to shout at her (I was not shouting). So we left and won't be back. They stock beers but don't want beer drinkers - what they are is a restaurant which sells expensive cocktails and doesn't understand customer service.
