I decided to take my fiance for some sushi on a relaxed Sunday evening. Knowing that Bella Bellota has 50% discount on their sushi on Sundays, the restaurant wasn't that full. So we ordered drinks so long and then the waiting started..
With 3 people behind the sushi counter, of which it looks like not one of them knows what they are doing, we sat for a full hour. Without anyone asking us if we were okay, or explaining to us how long our order will still take. After I told the manager (Renata) that we've been waiting for an hour, she arrogantly told me that the restaurant was full and she will have a look at what is happening.
We were seated right in front of the sushi bar, and that never happened. The one guy at the table next to us even asked the waiter "did you go catch the salmon? " clearly indicating that their patience was also running out.
I immediately told the manager that I want to pay for my drinks and they can cancel the sushi order. Once again no apology or explanation from her.
I would've appreciated a waiter informing me after 30 mins OR 1hr of wait, that they have some crises with their orders. And how long does a sushi order for 2 people take?
