We went to Nando's in Blackheath / Northcliff for dinner last night (24 October). My kids went to wash their hands. The door closed on my son's foot and the aluminium at the bottom of the door cut my son's foot open. My husband went to the staff asking for a first aid kit seeing that my son was bleeding a lot. Everybody ignored us. Even after my husband started shouting that he wants to see the manager we were still ignored. The staff was very incompetent and very unhelpful. Eventually after a few minutes the manager appeared and went to fetch the first aid kit. Not sure where he was. We were shocked at how unhelpful the staff was and the fact that we were ignored even after shouting and asking for the manager and the first aid kit. I took my son to the doctor this morning. He had to get stitches and a tetanus injection. We will hold Nando's responsible for all the doctor bills and they must replace the doors, seeing that the doors of the bathrooms are of bad design and unsafe for public use. I went to Nando's website for contact details but there is no contact number available on the website to call them to find out what the procedure would be to report this.
