On 28 September 2013 some friends and I went out for drinks and food at Topo Giogio. At about 5pm we asked if they would be showing the MTN 8 final at 8:15 that night and a waiter said that he would find out for us. We told our waitress that we are ready to order food but only if they were going to show the game. She then took our order. None of the waiters came back to us so we called the manager who then confirmed that the game would not be displayed. We cancelled our food order and continued drinking our drinks. Not more than 5 minutes later the bill came to our table without us asking for it. (Clearly we were being kicked out) We complained about it and our waitress' bad attitude and we decided not to tip her. We paid the bill (in full) and the waitress threw a tantrum about not getting a tip. She told her manager and the manager said to her and the other staff "Don't mind them they are just F*CKEN MONKEYS"(an offensive slur). We went to Mamma's Shebeen to watch the game and the staff from Topo followed us and instructed Mamma's staff not to serve us. How dare they? Despite Topo's disgusting behavior Mamma's staff treated us like the human beings we are.
