SERVICE AT N1 BLOEMFONTEIN WIMPY

We stopped to have lunch at the Wimpy and placed an order for drinks and our meal. We then waited a 10 minutes for the waiter to come back to us to confirm the order as it did not appear that he took it correctly the first time. When the drinks arrived after another 5 minute delay, the iced tea was the incorrect flavour but we accepted it. We however had to ask for another glass of water as the lip of the glass was filthy.
Ten to fifteen minutes later I asked for the manager and said to her I wanted to speak to our waiter about the delay. He appeared shortly thereafter and said to me that "it won't be long"- I asked him to kindly chase it up. After a further delay and after finishing our drinks, we still had no food so we all agreed to get up and leave; we passed the manager on our way out and said to her that we were not prepared to:
1. Wait any longer for our meal;
2. Pay for the drinks that they had served us.
Unfortunately it appeared that a number of other patrons had experienced similar delays- yes it was the end of school holidays but unfortunately you need to gear up for that. The dirty crockery also left a lot to be desired.
