I'd like to respond (as a fellow customer) to the complaint by Nikki-Jade O. I go to GD often. It's a popular place - has a few of SA's best DJ's, is well maintained, clean & generally has decent, upstanding folk visiting. GD (as is every establishment in the world) is subject to the fire code & has a max occupancy. This means that in order to ensure YOUR safety, they can only allow so many people in at any one time. If it's full, it's full & the "one-out-one in" rule applies. I myself spent Sat, 17 Aug at GD & also made the mistake of "popping out" to check on an inebriated pal who had gone outside for air. I too was not simply let back in, despite having a stamp, but had to wait at the end of a 60 min queue. I did it with good humour & good grace, as did most of the other people in the queue. The owner himself brought out a bottle of tequila & gave everyone free shooters whilst patiently explaining the "one-out-one-in" rule. BTW: the bouncer has a memory like an elephant & will remember you the next time you go there. Try being respectful to him & everyone else waiting to get in, or else I suggest you don't "go to the car" once inside. Better yet, leave the 'tude at home please.
