I am a regular customer of Mike's Kitchen in Milnerton. Their service and food is usually great.
Last night i ordered a Farmhouse Beef Schnitzel and Chicken Schnitzel. When i got home, i saw that the portion for the Beef schnitzel was quite small. With the chicken schnitzel given a decent portion.
My boyfriend and myself think that R82 for a piece of meat (150g supposedly) and some chips/rice is a bit ridiculous. Is that what MK headquarters think is value for money? I can tell that the manager and staff are tied down by nonsensical rules made by head office. How exactly can a piece of meat with some bacon, mushroom and cheese possibly cost R82?
Also. please explain this head office.. why are extra's like onion rings given with cheaper items on the menu (aka burgers) but not with the more pricey items? That does not make sense.
What is the incentive for me to continue to be a loyal customer of MK? I would much rather then go to the Utah Spur (which is closer to my house) and order any schnitzel, and receive a decent portion, as well as a side plus onion rings.
It is sad, MK has such awesome food but you let us down by poor portion size.
