We visited the Dros Hartbeespoortdam branch yesterday afternoon. What a dissapointment!
We ordered the following:
1. Chicken Cheese Sauce Burger - 5 onion rings (yes 5!). Ice cold chips. R52.95
2. Kiddies meal - Hamburger & Chips - my daughter only ate the patty. A very expensive R24.95 for one edible item on the plate.
3. Stellenbosch Combo Burger at R64.95 Again ice cold chips - 3 onion rings, a VERY small hamburger bun with minute piece of overgrilled meat on it (it was definitely NOT 100grams) and thin slither of chicken breast. There was no bacon bits in sauce & was a watery brown base - not cheese!
4. Smoked Eisbein. - This was so disgusting we actually started laughing. We were served a boiled up version of eisbein with a massive bone and probably about 8 bites of meat on it. Next to it was one desert spoon of white rice (rock hard) mixed with a light yellow rice concoction. On the other side of the plate was 3 onion rings. THAT WAS IT! No sauce, no sauerkraut NOTHING??? At R104.95 this was absolutely ridiculous!
I wrote a complaint with my name and telephone number on the slip - and neither the owner/ manager of this branch has contacted me to offer any kind of apology!
