Today I telephonically ordered 3 large pizzas (1 Mexicana, 1 Meat Triple Decker and 1 Chicken Triple Decker) for an office function from the Norwood Debonairs branch. The amount I calculated was far less than the cashier quoted me and when I queried this, she explained that a triple decker is made with 3 cups of cheese??? I then told her that this was not on the website and she again said that as it has 3 layers, needs extra cheese. Since I sit in an open plan office surrounded by senior staff, I did not want to get into a debate and rather waited for the pizzas and the bill. For the 3 pizzas, I was charged for 6 EXTRA MOZZARELLA CHEESE!!! I contacted Debonairs head office and lodged the complaint but also told them that I was going to lodge the complaint on Hellopeter. Within an hour the Norwood branch owner called me and is now delivering my refund - his response was that his staff are told to try and "upsell". My response was that telling a customer how a pizza is made and that it needs extra cheese is not upselling but ripping customers off. I also noticed that this has happened before at Norwood from the complaints on Hellopeter - so BEWARE OF THE EXTRA CHEESE...
