A friend and I went to Spur for breakfast this morning, a little after 9am. The restaurant was packed and there was a queue of people waiting to be seated, but since there were only 2 of us, we were seated immediately. After our waitresses initial shock of us ordering regular meals (friend came off an overnight shift at hospital and I'm pregnant) instead of breakfast, we were informed that our order would take slightly longer, as they were seeing to breakfast orders first. Our starter arrived and soon after, our main meal arrived. The portions were generous and the food prepared well. The quality was way better than what I experienced at their Argyle Road branch. I hope this is the standard and that our food wasn't just good because it was breakfast time and we ordered meals that everyone else wasn't ordering, thus allowing them to prepare our food with greater care.
