Being a regular customer and having a card which allows a discount when 10 visits is complete I used this discount and the balance due on the bill I paid which where in excess of R100. I then presented me loyalty card to record the purchase of R100 which the Franchise holder of the Empangeni store refused because he says how do I think he will make a living by giving all this discounts. It obviously is the first time I experienced it at this or any other Wimpy store - I used to also frequent visit Meer-en See in Richards Bay. This decision was purely made by him and as owner he might have the right to decide what he wants to do and when but why when buy into a franchise and not stick to their values!! Or otherwise tell the franchisor he loses to much money by the frequent guest discounts and stop using it as a marketing tool - then you know when you visit that no loyalty discount will be given. Problem is you phone the cutomer careline and they report it to the store - which just do not contact you. Rather avoid the Wimpy in Empangeni not due to its staff but its owner!!
