Loyalt Card/ Regular Visitor Card

For many years, every Friday my family and I get Wimpy take outs from the Wimpy Noordheuwel. Because we were so regulars we were given a Loyalty Card that would be filled in each time we visited with the amount and what day we visited. Afer the 10th visit, the relevent Wimpy branch would take your total spent over the last 10 visits, add them up and divide by 10 to get the total discount you would get on your next spend.
I really thought this was an innovative idea and always complimented Wimpy with regards to this to my friends and Family. However I was totally shocked when I went out to get our regular Friday night Wimpy and was fortunate enough to have filled up another "Loyalty Card" to the value of R264.00.
I then ordered the food and when I presented the Loyalty Card to the cashier, I was informed that the rules from Wimpy Head Office had changed and the "all Loyalty transactons were now capped at a maximum of R200.I just don't understand the logic behind this. Does this mean that Wimpy Head Office is implying that I spend less with them so I come under their R200 reward cap? Perhaps buy half my familys meals from Wimpy and the other half from another take out place
