We went for lunch at the Wimpy in Rosebank and this is the experience we had :
- We sat down and were ignored for 10 minutes.
The ice cream machine is not working so my 4yr old and 6yr old cousins could not have soda floats. My mother had come earlier in the week and it was the same problem, a fact the waitress ignored.
- As I was reading the burger specials, another waitress picks it up without asking me and gives it to another table.
- The other table's child is then given a picture to colour in and crayons. We receive nothing. The other table's child then receives a soda float whilst we are given 2 normal cream sodas.
- I asked my waitress then why the ice cream machine was suddenly working and I could not get a response. 10 min later, they brought us 2 soda floats. I'll accept that the machine may have had problems but surely they should at least try.
- For the rest of our meal, we were ignored and I even had to go to the counter to pay the bill and ask them to clear the table.
I have had numerous bad incidents at the Wimpy (burnt chips, wrong orders and refusal to fix it, rude staff) and each time I give them a second chance only to be disappointed the next time I visit them
