Mauritian Spur beats SA Spurs hands down

We were on holiday in Mauritius recently and decided to try the Malibu Spur in Grand Baie for lunch (needing a good old-fashioned hamburger after too much hotel food). To be honest, this was the best Spur meal we have had in years - 100 times better than any food we have had in South Africa. Bacon, cheese and guacamole burger and chips, cheese burger and chips, kid's chicken nuggets and chips. Every ingredient was properly cooked, the staff were super friendly and helpful, the restaurant was clean and tidy. I understand that the food would be prepared using local ingredients which might taste slightly different to ours (although they were still better!), but to get such perfect chips and onion rings and well-cooked meat is possible anywhere in the world. Well done!
