I have had a recent experience with Discovery Insure that has left a sour taste in my mouth. I had a claim for some electronic equipment as a result of lightning damage last year October and asked if Discovery would appoint a Vendor to settle the claim. Discovery appointed a company that goes by the name of Unitronics and what a shambles. All these people had to do was replace a DVD / VCR recorder combo and a desktop computer as the rest of the equipment was replaced under warranty and although I have the desktop after returning it three times, I was given a DVD player as a replacement for the DVD / VCR combo. So now how does Discovery and Unitronics propose I view my videos??? When I raised this with discovery, it turns out they had settled and closed the file for my claim AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE A CLAIM NUMBER FOR THE INCIDENT!!! So when were they planning on letting me know and is it no required that they confirm that everything was delivered correctly??? SO DISCOVERY RESPONDS BY SHRUGGING THEIR SHOULDERS. WHAT HAPPENED TO PUTTING ME IN THE POSITION I WAS BEFORE THE CLAIM!!!
