I am complaining about unreasonable accesses that were imposed against me by oakhurst insurance. I took a car insurance with them and i was advised that when i claim access will be 10% of the claim with minimum of R17000. I recently had an accident and total cost for repair is R64000, Oakhurst advised that my access will be R40000, which is over 60% of the total claim. they counted 4 types of accesses and voluntary access that they never explained to me, they even make me pay 10% access due to tracker that was never installed by their service provider, altech netstar, which postponed 4 times to fit it and now they want to make it my fault. when I request telephonic recordings they don't want to email them to me. They never sent me contract and just emailed policy schedule after i lodged claim. I am very disappointed with the bad service that i am receiving from Oakhurst and their inflated accesses. My car is currently with their service provider Trojan panel beater for 3 weeks and they advise me that they can only sent authorisation letter once I agree to pay that R40000 access. is this kind of service that one should expect from insurance companies, pathetic service.
