I am beyond frustrated and disgusted!
In 2011 I lost my job. There was a R114.60 amount from 22/07/2011 on my discovery card that I had not settled. I informed them that I am a single parent, lost my job and was waiting for my provident fund payout. Then on the 14/10/2011 they charged a R200 late payment fee, and once again another R200 on the 14/11/2011. Also the last time I received a statement.
This escalated into back and forth queries as I could not understand why a R400 late payment fee will be charged on an amount of R114.60? Shouldn't it be a percentage or something? This back and forth has resulted into nothing happening. Just frustration as no-one takes responsibility to follow up and resolve queries!
It is now almost two years later and this R114.60 amount has accumulated to R2110.63.
Your inefficient staff surely must get nice bonuses as this results in just more fees and charges being stuck to the consumer that has no power to argue or get issues resolved! Then after the consumer is ignored lets just hand them over as its to much effort to actually work!
