Debited for property that was not transferred

I received a call from Nedlife while i was in the process of buying a house for insurence services. i told the agent that i was still in the process of buying the property and will confirm once it was tranferred to my name for the insurence debits to commence. nedlife decided they will debit my account anyway. i had four to fivedebit orders running off my account before July 2012. the property was transferred to my name on 25/07/2012. meantime my complaints were being ignored and i was still being debited. i cancelled the insurence prior to the transfer being done and was forced to fill in documentation when the original agreement was done telephonically. after battling to get the insurence cancelled, Nedlife still refused to refund me the amoutn that they had been debiting illegally. i need this amount refunded to me, it has already been more than 6 months ad i am still waiting for this. how can a company of this size fail to refund me an amount that is less than R 500, that was taken illegally?
