I have a loan with Bayport and they debited my account a day before payday. I phoned their call centre and I was told that if a payday fall on a weekend they will debit the account on a Friday, I explained to them that salary date does not change weather it falls on weekend or holiday it stays the same I then asked them to change the debit order date as they are messing my account and the bank charges me for a returned debit order they say their contract state that they can only change debit order date if you change employment or the company change salary date. this is a lot of as they are messing my account profile with the bank my and how will I have money in my account if I'm not paid on a Friday if my pay day is a Saturday, I am doing my best to ensure that you get your money when you debit order goes off but if you will be debiting me on a Friday for a payday that falls on a weekend then it's a problem surely you can just change my debit order date to 3 days after payday so that we are all happy with the arrangement and I don't have RD's in my account that the bank will not be calling me regarding the mess in my account
