I had received a lower quote from another company. Given my zero-claims experience I asked Auto and General to consider making my premium more competitive so that I could justify staying with them.
They were understanding and after reviewing my circumstances they gave me a significant reduction in premium and also provided some other useful additional benefits at no extra cost. In particular the Cashback policy will hopefully lead to a welcome refund if I carry on with my no-claim profile.
